One of the biggest musical festivals in the country kicked off Friday in San Francisco.

Thousands of people are expected to head to Golden Gate Park this weekend for the 10th annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

The festival is free. Billionaire philanthropist Warren Hellman foots the bill; he describes it as his annual gift to San Francisco.
