Firefighters have controlled a two-alarm fire that broke out in a home in Blackhawk this afternoon, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman Kim French said.

The fire was reported at 2:08 p.m. in a single-family home at 4130 Quail Run Drive.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the garage.

French said nobody was home when the fire started and no injuries were reported. However, the blaze caused significant damage to the garage and to a bedroom over the garage. There was also smoke damage throughout the house, she said.
