Sgt. Kenny Park said the child suffered major head injures and was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive, Park said.
The child's mother was pushing the stroller across the intersection when a vehicle hit the stroller, Park said. The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m.
The driver apparently did not see the stroller or the mother, who was uninjured, Park said.
