Man arrested for DUI, assault outside pub

SANTA ROSA, Calif.

Devin McCormick, 32, got into an argument with a 22-year-old Santa Rosa man outside the Russian River Brewing Company at 725 Fourth St. in Santa Rosa at about 11:25 p.m., Sgt. Rich Celli said.

Celli said McCormick then intentionally drove his pickup into the other man, pinning him against another vehicle in the parking lot.

McCormick also struck two other vehicles, then drove home and called police to report the incident, Celli said.

Police arrested McCormick at his home on suspicion of DUI and took him back to the pub, where the victim identified McCormick as his assailant, Celli said.

The victim complained of pain and was treated at the scene, Celli said.

McCormick was booked into Sonoma County Jail for DUI, assault with a deadly weapon and two misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run. His bail is $20,000 and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
