A San Francisco firefighter lit up a dry tree and in a matter of seconds, it was completely consumed in flames. The fire department is trying to remind residents to turn off holiday lights before going to bed, to water trees daily, and to avoid overloading extension cords.
The U.S. Fire Administration says fires during the holiday season claim the lives of more than 400 Americans.
