Study: Patients have higher relief rates on placebo

A new study has discovered placebos do work, what's surprising is that's true even when patients know they're taking placebos.

Harvard medical school researchers enrolled 80 people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. Half of them were given pills marked "placebo," the other half got nothing. Patients who took the fake medicine had a much higher rate of relief from their symptoms.
