A first-of-its kind education summit gets underway Tuesday in Colorado among teachers, principals and school board members.

More than 150 school districts from 40 states, including California, sent school officials to the U.S. Department of Education summit in Denver.

It is billed as the nation's largest effort for school labor and management to talk about student achievement.
