Student: SF crime dropped during Giants playoff run

SAN FRANCISCO

Thousands of people turned out to celebrate the Giants baseball victory and the good will it brought to the city. But 8th grader Ella Chatfield-Stiehler of St. Philip School crunched some computerized crime stats. Police are impressed with her research and told the San Francisco Chronicle it's a very good theory based on what she saw.
