The medical examiner's office has identified the victim as Parrish Broughton, 20.

The shooting was reported at 1:17 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Diamond Heights Boulevard and Gold Mine Drive.

Broughton was taken to a hospital where he died Tuesday, police Officer Albie Esparza said today.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and no suspect information was available as of today, Esparza said.

The shooting is San Francisco's 16th homicide of 2011. There were nine at the same time last year, according to Esparza.
