Late-night tech habits negatively impact sleep

A new study by the National Sleep Federation shows that 95 percent of us use a cell phone, computer or TV before going to bed and it's all that technology that's waking us up in the middle of the night.

Researchers say artificial light exposure between the time the sun goes down and the time we go to bed at night suppresses release of the sleep-promoting hormone melatonin, making it much harder to get that much needed rest.
