PG&E facing Tuesday deadline on safe pressure levels

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

Part of that process involved 300 workers sifting through thousands of boxes of documents at the Cow Palace in Daly City. The order follows the September 9 San Bruno explosion that killed 8 people and destroyed three dozen homes.

The state public utilities commission could order PG&E to conduct expensive and time-consuming tests if the utility does not prove it has set safe pressure levels.
