SJ police arrest February homicide suspect

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Jonathan Quinn Wafer was arrested as a suspect in the Jan. 28 murder of Brian Mathew Hays, who was found bleeding from the face in the 2700 block of Aborn Road. Hays was treated at a local hospital but died on Feb. 6 as a result of his injuries, according to police.

Police located Wafer at about 7 a.m. near the intersection of Quimby Road and Capitol Expressway, police said.

Examining physical evidence, Hays' injuries and witness statements, detectives identified Wafer as a suspect, police said. Wafer was booked into Santa Clara County Jail Friday.
