Board votes to delay Caltrain service cuts

SAN CARLOS, Calif.

Caltrain faces a $30 million budget deficit. The agency wants to raise fares, charge more for parking, close three stations, and eliminate rush hour baby bullet trains. But many riders voiced their opposition to those changes during a meeting in San Carlos on Thursday morning.

The three stations facing closure are Bayshore in San Francisco, Hayward Park in San Mateo, and Capitol in San Jose.
