Restaurant owners and merchants in Oakland's Fruitvale District will shut down their stores between noon and 1 p.m. to honor Jesus Campos.

It was a week ago today when he was gunned down while opening his popular restaurant on International Boulevard and 39th Avenue. Police believe he was shot by two suspects during a botched robbery attempt. Hundreds of people, including Mayor Jean Quan, turned out for his funeral on Wednesday.

People who knew Campos have raised most of the $30,000 reward being offered to find his killers.
