Muscular strength can help men with high blood pressure

A new study in the journal of the American College of Cardiology shows men with greater muscle strength were at a 34 percent lower risk of death from any cause than those with weaker muscles.

The authors followed more than 1,500 men age 40 and older for about 18 years.

The authors advise men with hypertension to do yard work and light weight lifting to build up strength beyond aerobic exercise.
