In Nevada, investigators are working to identify the women in more than 4,000 photographs linked to accused serial killer Joseph Naso, who will stand trial in Marin County.

According to our media partners at the Bay Area News Group, detectives seized stacks of photos and notebooks from Naso's El Dorado County home last year. Those photographs show naked or lingerie-clad women, sometimes posed to look lifeless or unnatural. So far, they've identified fewer than half the women.

Naso had never been charged with a violent crime until his arrest in April. Investigators think he may be responsible for other murders across the country.

Naso is suspected of killing four Northern California women, all with the same first and last initials.
