Investigators confiscated smoke bombs from a store on Monument Boulevard after a woman called concerned that her grandson had been allowed to buy them.
The workers say they thought it was OK to sell smoke bombs, since they're "safe and sane" fireworks, but all fireworks are illegal in Contra Costa County.
