SF nannies can now get residential parking permits

SAN FRANCISCO

The SF Municipal Transportation Agency voted Tuesday to give nannies a break when it comes to parking.

Under the new program the nanny's employer will have to prove they have a young child and get half of their neighbors on the block to sign a petition.

Previously nannies had to move their car every two hours or face getting tickets.

A coalition of families fought for the change.
