A United Airlines passenger jet made an emergency landing at San Francisco International Airport on Friday.

Smoke fumes were reported in the cabin of United Airlines Flight 479 Friday evening while it was en route to San Francisco from Las Vegas.

The plane, a Boeing 757 carrying 179 passengers, landed safely before 7 p.m. There were no injuries.

United Airlines spokesman Michael Trevino told ABC7 News the smoke had dissipated on the plane prior to its landing.

United plans to inspect the plane before it flies again.
