Internet use through smartphones rises

Our time spent on the Internet continues to grow, you would expect that, but a new study by Flurry Analytics shows we are changing the way we think of the Internet.

We are now spending more time connected to the Internet through our smartphones and tablets, than through our computers. Last year at this time, consumers were online 64 minutes a day by computer and 43 minutes by mobile device.

Now, even though our computer Internet use has gone up 10 minutes to 74 minutes, mobile use has almost doubled to 81 minutes.

The Flurry report notes all this occurred in three years. That is how long mobile apps have been in widespread use.
