The museum says a hacker broke into three old files on its system and captured the personal information of 800 members, including email addresses and home addresses, but not Social Security or credit card numbers.
The hacker posted the information on Twitter last Friday.
The museum has since sent emails to affected members and moved their information to a new, secure system.
