Raymond Johnson from South Carolina recently learned he has breast cancer. The 26-year-old doesn't have health insurance and Medicaid denied his application for a program that cares for breast cancer patients because it's only for women.
Johnson's chemotherapy costs $10,000 per treatment.
"Right now I'm just stuck with these bills and trying to find a way," Johnson said.
The South Carolina state health department agrees there is a problem with the program and admits it's discriminatory. It has asked the federal government for help.
