A rose planting ceremony took place at Captain Jason M. Dahl Elementary School in San Jose, with two of Dahl's sisters along with dignitaries.
Following in the Captain's footsteps, the school itself has become a high achiever. "Captain Dahl would have been very proud of the students and staff at this school because over the past two years, they have achieved something that is rarely achieved and grown over one hundred points in the state accountability test scores," said Franklin-McKinley School Supervisor John Porter.
