The two-alarm blaze was reported at 4:46 p.m. near Benicia Community Park and was under control by 7:13 p.m.
A total of 50 firefighters from Benicia, Cal Fire, and surrounding fire departments responded and a bulldozer, two air tankers and a helicopter were brought in to fight the flames, according to fire officials.
No one was injured and no structures or fencing was damaged, fire officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
