Sediment is threatening to dry out the environmentally sensitive lagoon between Bolinas and Stinson Beach.
Crews are placing boulders along the road to keep waves from pulling soil into the water. They're also installing drains that will catch sand and silt before it enters the lagoon.
The $3.5 million project is expected to last through the end of October.
