$1.2B in lottery funds went to education

On Monday, the State Controller's office released a breakdown of lottery funding.

Among the top beneficiaries were kindergarten through 12th-grade public schools which received over $884 million, community colleges received $173 million, California state universalities received $38 million, while $27 million went to the University of California.

Hastings College received just over $150,000. The State Department of Developmental Services also received a small percentage.
