The San Francisco Chronicle reports Posey has now caught two live bullpen sessions for pitchers in the Giants instructional league in Scottsdale, Arizona. The team's athletic trainer says that puts him about a week ahead of schedule. Posey is also hitting in a batting cage a few times a week and is expected to begin live batting practice soon.
He's slated to stay in Arizona until early next month, before going to his home in Georgia to continue his rehab.
