San Francisco delays cellphone radiation stickers

SAN FRANCISCO

City Attorney Dennis Herrera agreed to put off implementing the law until a federal judge rules on objections to it.

The cellphone industry claims the posters, brochures and stickers the city wanted retailers to release are inaccurate and inflamatory. The city countered by arguing that it is simply trying to provide information to consumers.

The law had been set to roll out on Tuesday. A ruling is expected later this month.
