A new study shows birth control pills can significantly reduce the risk of ovarian cancer. British researchers followed 300,000 European women and found those who took the pill for ten years nearly cut their odds in half. Women considering the pill for protection need to weigh this finding against the link between oral contraceptives and higher risk for breast cancer, doctors say. The report came from the British Journal of Cancer.
