Tiny deer on the loose in Berkeley

If you live in Berkeley, be on the lookout for a tiny deer on the loose. The miniature Reeves Muntjac deer has been spotted in Berkeley's Cesar Chavez Park.

Animal experts are concerned because the animal is tiny and is easy prey for larger animals.

It comes from Asia and is one of the smallest species of deer in the world. It grows to only about 24 inches tall.

It was likely let loose in the park by its owner.

If you do see it, experts say throw a blanket over it and call Berkeley Animal Services.
