You probably don't hear too many musicians telling people not to buy their music, but that's exactly what Elvis Costello is saying to his fans.

According to a posting on his website, the British singer-songwriter says he cannot recommend his new box set because it's too expensive.

The box set is selling for more than $200.

Costello said the price "appears to be a misprint or a satire" and he suggests his fans buy some Louis Armstrong instead.
