Actor Gerard Butler is filming scenes for the upcoming 2012 Curtis Hanson movie "Of Men and Mavericks" in the Half Moon Bay area.
The man was taken to the beach where fire district medical personnel treated him at the scene after he had been held down by a couple waves, Delay said.
The man was sent to Stanford Hospital as a precautionary measure, he said.
