A new study shows more and more U.S. adults are being told by their doctors to get off the couch and exercise.

A survey by the Centers for Disease Control found nearly 33 percent of adults who saw doctors in the previous year were told to exercise. That's up 10 percent from 2000. The report also found more women got that advice than men and diabetics were more likely to get the advice than those with other conditions.

Currently, more than a third of U.S. adults are obese.
