Paraglider rescued after crashing into cliff

It happened at the end of Westline Drive. Crews with the North County Fire Department used ropes and pulleys to hoist the man up about 150 feet.

Fellow paragliders saw him go down. They say winds coming from the north shifted and pushed their friend into the rocks.

The man is described as an experienced paraglider in his early 50s. He was taken a local hospital, after complaining of head, back and chest pains.
