President Obama departs SFO on Air Force One

SAN FRANCISCO

Air Force One took off from the airport shortly after 9 a.m. Obama is headed to Washington state for more campaign fundraising, then back to Washington, D.C., before the end of the day, according to White House officials.

Obama attended three fundraising events in San Francisco on Thursday, including a large rally at the Nob Hill Masonic Center, and also made an impromptu stop for lunch at a restaurant in the city's Chinatown.

He stayed at a hotel in San Francisco overnight before leaving for the airport this morning.
