PG&E to face fines of $200 million this quarter

PG&E has told stockholders that it expects to face fines of more than $200 million this quarter.

That's for the gas pipeline explosion in San Bruno a year and a half ago which killed eight people and destroyed 38 homes. PG&E 's CEO disclosed the $200 million figure in a quarterly statement to investors. Last month, California regulators said PG&E's violation of state and federal safety laws led to the explosion.
