FDA warns consumers about dangerous toothbrushes

WASHINGTON

The FDA says the Arm and Hammer Spinbrush, previously sold under the Crest label, has parts that can break off and cause chipped or broken teeth, mouth cuts, and face injuries.

Even the kid's version can be dangerous, with reports of batteries leaving burns and bristles coming off and sticking to children's tonsils.

So far, no recall has been issued, but the FDA is urging consumers to check any Spinbrushes they have for loose or worn parts.
