Graffiti vandals have tagged a South Bay high school with hate messages and racial slurs, and police want to know who did it.

Students at Mt. Pleasant High were invited to write goodbye messages on the walls of a classroom scheduled for demolition, but school officials say last Friday, someone took advantage of that invitation and instead drawing swastikas and references to Hitler.

It is not clear if a student is responsible, but East Side Union High School District officials say racist behavior of any kind is not tolerated.

The graffiti was immediately taken down.
