Patient's friends organize bone marrow donor drive

Students at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton will hold another bone marrow drive this weekend for a 25-year-old Alumna who is battling leukemia.

Janet Liang desperately needs a bone marrow transplant. Doctors say she has until April to find a donor, which has been difficult since Asians only make up seven percent the national registry. A donor match depends highly on ethnicity.

Upcoming Drive Organized By Students Interested In Medical Science (SIMS):

2/25: 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Main Office of Amador Valley High School, 1155 Santa Rita Road Pleasanton, Calif.
