On Monday, Visa has dropped the card processor, Global Payments, from its registry of providers that meet data security standards.
We learned too that Global Payments is working to tighten its security and is setting up a website to keep consumers informed.
Experts say it's almost certain many of the banks not reporting problems with this issue have actually had them, but are unaware or have not yet reported the issues.
That means consumers need to keep close track of their credit card accounts.
