Computer glitch allows $1 a gallon gas

The prices were in effect for several hours, until an employee noticed the deep discount. By then, news of the low prices had spread on Facebook.

"So I pumped my gas. I got it for $10," driver Benito Cruz said. "Ten dollars to fill up my whole tank."

One driver said the station ran out of gas.

The prices went back to normal once the problem was fixed.

Drivers usually pay an average of 3$.89 a gallon in the Houston area. Gas runs an average of $4.35 a gallon in Northern California.
