The man was out walking his dog in the 700 block of Elverton Drive at 10:35 p.m. when several suspects approached him from behind, police said.
One of the suspects said something to him, and the man went to enter his home but as he was entering one of the suspects shot at him and hit him in the arm.
The man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, police said.
