San Francisco's Sunday Streets program is expanding. Starting this weekend, it will take over the Mission for four months, closing the streets to cars.

It will be held the first Sunday of every month. The route will be along Valencia and 24th streets. Events include live music, food and activities for kids.

Previously the Sunday Streets program was held in a different part of the city every month. Officials say the goal is to examine how to create more open spaces and support small businesses in the city.
