An officer was following a car at a high rate of speed on the Bay Bridge when the car crashed at the S-curve. At some point, a CHP officer fired off at least one shot. The suspect was not shot, but is injured because of the crash and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
There was also another high speed chase on the Bay Bridge overnight that went from Oakland to San Francisco. The chase then went back from San Francisco to Oakland and two people were arrested in that chase.
The CHP has continued intermittent eastbound closures throughout the morning as they conduct their investigation.
