ABC7 News has learned Hans Reiser, the former computer programmer convicted of killing his wife in the Oakland hills in 2008, will be back in court next week.

Reiser faces a wrongful death lawsuit filed by his two children in connection with the death of their mother, Nina Reiser.

Four years ago, Reiser led authorities to her body, buried in a remote part of the Oakland hills, in exchange for a lighter sentence.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for emotional distress caused by Nina Reiser's killing.

Reiser was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
