The deal is expected to be ratified by the San Francisco Board Of Education on Tuesday night.
It includes one-and-a-half furlough days over each of the next two school years. And under a provision in the contract, teachers could face 16-and-a-half furlough days if voters do not approve Proposition 30 -- the governor's tax plan.
Teachers will now take part in phone banks and community meetings in an effort to get the public's support for the tax increase.
