Millions of Californians still plan to take a trip this upcoming Labor Day weekend, despite rising gas prices and the weak economy.

AAA predicts 3.7 million Californians will drive or fly more than 50 miles from home for the long weekend.

AAA predicts traffic will be the heaviest around 9 a.m. Friday morning.

In the Bay Area, the Dumbarton Bridge will be closed starting at 10 p.m. Friday through early Tuesday morning so Caltrans can do seismic retrofit work.
