A Fremont teenager has been arrested for making a fake robbery report that ended with officers shooting a dog.

Officials say someone called 911 Thursday night to report a robbery in progress on Trout Court. When officers arrived, three pit bulls charged them. They shot and wounded one of the dogs.

Police say a teenage neighbor confessed to making the whole thing up. The 19-year old is expected in court on Tuesday.
