San Jose mayor gets traffic ticket

San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed is defending his driving skills after receiving a ticket for failure to use his turn signal.

Reed received a $35 ticket Tuesday morning on his way to City Hall when he was making a turn in a marked right-turn lane.

The state requires drivers to signal at least 100 feet before turning. Reed says he does not remember if he used his turn signal or not.

Reed says he's a cautious driver and that this is his first ticket in decades and that it is unlikely he will fight the ticket.
