Casino M8trix owners file claim against SJ

SAN JOSE, Calif.

The M8trix card room says a convoluted permit process pushed back its opening by four months. It's asking for at least $10,000 for what it's calling the "unpredictable nature and frequent delays" in San Jose's licensing process.

Filing a claim is the first step toward filing a lawsuit. The M8trix Casino planned to open last April. It didn't end up opening until August.
